President: Steve Deller

Steve DellerSteve currently operates a number of internet based properties and is involved with overseas manufacturing, importing and distribution. Having co-founded Western Canada's first mail-order corporate pharmacy in 1992, he proceeded to manage a $4.2M business with 30 employees in British Columbia, Manitoba, and Ontario.

His hands-on experience has left him a veteran of business startup management. Deller has advised dozens of entrepreneurs and owner operators in launching their businesses while acting as a management consultant for the Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC) and an HRDC SEP program advisor.

His earlier experiences included the positions of Regional Advisor at Statistics Canada, Consultant at Supply and Services Canada, IDRC, and a Market Research Analyst at the International Division of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce.

He holds a B.A. & B.Ed. from the University of Western Ontario and a Masters degree from the London School of Economics and Political Science. Mr. Deller completed his 1999 Internet Marketing Certificate at the University of British Columbia.

Secretary/Treasurer: John Hossack

John is currently the VP of Web Usability and Business Development at VKI Studios. He has been working as a Partner at VKI Studios for the past 5 years, helping grow the company and drive results for its clients. While at VKI Studios, John has worked with a vast range of companies, from small owner/operator businesses to large multinational corporations.

John believes in a holistic approach to Internet marketing that includes not only driving quality traffic to a web site, but also improving the user's experience once on the site. His strengths lie in tying together marketing strategy, website usability, and web analytics.

John believes strongly in supporting the top professional associations that relate to Internet marketing.  John joined the International Internet Marketing Association in 2006 and is also an active member of SEMPO, the Usability Professionals Association and the Web Analytics Association.

John earned his MBA in 2000 from the Australian Graduate School of Management in Sydney, Australia. During his MBA, he completed an exchange term at the University of Texas at Austin, where he focused on high tech strategy and marketing. He also completed a B.Sc. in Economics at the University of Victoria in 1995.

John has been nominated for a board of director position for the upcoming year and he would like to be considered for the Secretary/Treasurer role. He hopes to build upon the good work that has been done in this role, and to continue to challenge the status quo.

Membership Chair: Andrea Chomiczuk

Andrea currently leads the Interactive Marketing initiatives for Nintendo of Canada Ltd., participating in the introduction of the Wii console, one of the most high-profile product launches in gaming history.

With over a decade of strategic marketing experience she has worked with various high-tech and Internet based companies - including Maximizer Software and Computer Associates.  She's also managed the marketing efforts within the online advertising and promotions industry with companies such as 24/7 Real Media and IC Group - with client rosters that include Expedia, Kraft, and AOL.

In addition to working in the Online Marketing and promotions fields, Andrea has worked extensively with various organizations to produce conferences, meetings and events.  She has guest lectured on Internet marketing and online media buying.  Andrea holds a BA in English and Film Studies and has completed the Marketing Communications Management program at BCIT.

Communications/Sponsorship Chair: Linda Fox

Linda Fox is a 12 year marketer specialising in Return On Investment strategies. After completing her Associates Degree in Marketing, she spent 6 years working for regional and national advertising agencies on a variety of client portfolios. In 2000, she left the agency business to provide senior marketing direction to two of Vancouver's leading retailers.

Most notably, her return on investment expertise includes creating leading edge email and online advertising strategies for FutureShop.ca and developing a successful multi-channel direct marketing program for Please Mum. She also managed a robust client database of 1,000,000 plus people and acted as the company's Chief Privacy Officer. Her measurable ROI strategies have helped organisations increase response rates by as much 1000%.

Linda recently left her position as Director of Marketing at Please Mum to launch RESPONSE Marketing - dedicated to creating and implementing measurable communications strategies that help companies gain, retain and grow their customer base. Under RESPONSE Marketing, she also sits on the Board of Directors for IIMA (International Internet Marketing Association), and BCAIM (BC Association of Integrated Marketers).

Linda is based in Greater Vancouver and lives with her partner Jason. Her hobbies include hiking, running, skiing, snowshoeing and reading.
