How Facebook & Twitter are Killing Your Chances of Success

Noah Kagan, AppSumo

As social media becomes more influential in our daily lives, user behavior online is also being affected. Every day we see Facebook and Twitter pages promoted by businesses of all sizes, but is this the most effective way? Are there any alternative ways of promoting your business in social circles? Find out how promoting your social media site is not as effective as building an experience around your business.

Noah Kagan is the Chief Sumo of AppSumo.com, a daily deals site for web geeks.  He was one of the first employees at Facebook.com and Mint.com. Noah doesn’t like referring to himself in third person. Later, Noah started kickflip which became the #1 Facebook app company, following an advertising melt down they moved the business to monetizing virtual goods. Gambit became a multi-million dollar business and helped power: Zynga, Playdom, Gaia Online and many more. Ps. You should check out AppSumo.com and follow @NoahKagan
