Thanks for sharing this Bruce. I just saw this organization on Oprah last night very inspiring.
I think this is a great example of how technology can promote passion around the world. Dare I say it, but when the Dalai Lama was in town last week he announced that technology has “no capacity to promote compassion”. I simply think he is very mistaken.
Technology has “no capacity to promote compassion” — one doesn’t want to go up against the Dalai Lama …but
The Dalia Lama also said that “we are raising a generation with closed minds and hearts” and I think how technology in that particular instance was saying is that we now have, “people” who simply stay on their computer day and night and never go out to mingle or relate with other people in person….so there is now this technological barrier between people which can be a negative influence.
I watched the whole show it was a really good thought provoking conversation….
If you really have 4000 facebook friends, are those really your friends?
