Pravesh Dookun

I am currently working as the Webmaster for the Vancouver International Airport Authority for the past 3 years. As a technical team lead, I have also had the opportunity to build web applications and more recently been involved in project management for the Internet, Intranet and Extranet at YVR, providing enhancements to the customer's online experience. Prior to working at YVR, I worked for Stockhouse Financial Services as a web developer.

Away from my main job, I devote time to working on software and web projects with a company I co-founded -- bSmart Solutions Inc. This year I am also devoting whatever time I have left on a new internet venture starting in the summer 2004.

My educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in French (University of Manitoba), a diploma in Japanese Business (Kawai-juku International, Tokyo) and an Applied Information Technology diploma from the Institute of Information Technology (ITI 2000). I have over 8 years of experience in database-driven web development, web marketing and communication.

I am also involved in helping with charity events for the less fortunate through soup kitchens at the Drop-in Living Room Center, and toy drives for the needy children of Vancouver.

You can catch me, along with my crew, on the Spanish Banks whipping up a BBQ and enjoying a friendly game of volleyball.
